I always wondered if Grandma had lied

About the fresh portion of love that blooms

For each lion cub born into the pride

But when I saw you, my heart found new room

Yellow-blanketed-you, tucked in my arms

My memory jar at once upgraded

Soaking in the warmth of your sleepy calm

A gentle endless instant unfaded

But you wont stay this tiny forever

The world has great stories waiting for you

You will grow so kind and brave and clever

And you will prosper in all that you do

Collecting sweet moments along the way

For us to smile at together some day
